Adamawa Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta has declared open the 50th Annual Golden Conference of the Nigeria Society For Plant Protection (NSPP) in Adamawa state Addressing the participants at the Modibbo Adama University Yola venue for the event, Farauta reiterated government’s resolve to champion the course of implementing programmes, projects and activities that would empower women and youths in agricultural activities”Government is engaging youths and women in addressing food insecurity by involving them in agricultural activities.We are also committed in carrying our youths and women to handle agricultural activities,” she said.Farauta asked people from the state to leverage on agricultural programs made available by government to better their lots.The conference with it’s theme: Food Security In An Unstable Economy: Manging crop pests and Diseases under Climate Change is concurrently being celebrated with the society’s 55 anniversary.The conference had Professor Baba Gana Jugudum Kabir, Director Lake Chad Research.
