Adamawa state Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta has appreciated the role of the National Hunters and Forestry Security Services (NHFSS) in securing farmlands and animals towards ensuring food sufficiency in the state
Addressing members of the group who were on solidarity visit, Farauta said all hands should be on deck to support farming activities.
“We thank you for what you are doing to protect our land so that citizens can go about their normal business.
“We are an agrarian state, a lot of our people have keyed into farming and keeping of animals. People should be able to go about their business and continue feeding the people under a secured environment,” the deputy governor said
The State Commander NHFSS, Aminu Hammanjoda said the group is committed to promoting peace and security of all citizens.
Hammanjoda said the group is prepared in fishing out all miscreants in the communities and in forest against armed robbery, kidnapping, drug dealing, bush burning, among others.
“The department of operations forest security patrol guard, border security, anti human trafficking are responsible for the safeguarding of the forest,” he explained.
