Adamawa State Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta, has promised to ensure prudent handling of state resources.
Farauta stated this Monday, when she received a delegation from the National Fiscal Responsibility Commission (NFRC), led by Chinemerem Ugoh in her office.
The delegation’s mission to the state was to verify the utilization of N10 billion loan acquired from the Zenith Bank in October, 2015 by the state government.
Farauta insisted that the state is prudent, as can be noticed in all aspects of governance, especially in the area of infrastructure over the years.
She said, “Adamawa is known for being prudent, that we can assure you. Infrastructurally, we won’t have arrived where we are if we are not prudent.
“The facility has been utilized well. As people at the helm, we also insist that our citizens have taste of what other citizens taste in other states.”
Mr Chinemerem Ugoh, Team Leader, Fiscal Responsibility Commission (FRC) Monitoring Team, said they were in the state to monitor the implementation of the loan received, to visit projects and to determine rules and guidelines of procurement in the projects.
