Adamawa Gov Mourns Death Of Council Chair Shuaibu Babas

Deputy governor professor Kaletapwa Farauta has console the family of late Shuaibu Babas who died after a brief illness.

Babas was sworn in as chairman in July last year, died on Wednesday after a prolonged battle with an unspecified ailment.

Although little was known publicly about his illness, a close family source said.

Before becoming the elected chairman of Fufore Local Council in July last year, Babas had represented the Fufore/Gurin constituency at the State House of Assembly and had previously served as the sole administrator of Malabu Development area.

The deceased was the serving chairman, Fufore local government area died at the age of 60 years.

Farauta who was accompanied by other government officials to the residence of the deceased along Army Barracks road encouraged the bereaved family to take solace in God.

She reminded the family that death is inevitable, urging them to see reason to appreciate the life their father lived.

She prayed God to grant him eternal rest, and the family fortitude to bear the loss.
