Adamawa state Deputy Governor Professor Kaletapwa Farauta has hailed Hajiya Mariya Nyako who retired as permanent secretary for her meritorious service and contribution to the development of the state.

At a sendforth ceremony held at the office of the deputy governor Friday, Farauta lauded the relationship between the state government and the retired permanent secretary especially her last office, where she served the state boundary commission.

She urged the new permanent secretary Mrs Mercy Audu to be up and doing as her posting came at a hectic time when Nigeria and Cameroon is at the verge of settling boundary issues amicably.

‘We expect that you carry everybody along without bias, so that we can serve our beat better.

“We expect that we all be on our toes and work as good family, because Nigeria and Adamawa is the project we are working at”.

Responding Hajiya Mariya expressed appreciation to the governor for finding her worthy to serve the state and for creating a conducive environment for her to contribute her quota to the state’s development.

Mr Amos Hinjari in his goodwill message appreciated working with the retired permanent secretary.
