The Member of Parliament representing Demsa/Numan/Lamurde federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Kwamoti B Laori, took responsibility for providing training to 150 youths on peace and understanding strategies for the second time, in Adamawa state.

Experts at the event described the workshop titled ‘Peace Begins With Me’ as a major step forward that will lead to satisfactory success in the field of security and peace, and to create a significant change in the stability of the people and their behavior. not in area or Adamawa state but for the entire country.

Speaking at the event held at the Pwanobato Events Center in Numan on Monday, Hon Kwamoti B La’ori, said he believes that youths are the root of every problem, if they receive training on peace. then they will be a role model and an example among people.

He went on to say that “because it is safe, we do it when people from Gombe and Taraba states come to Numan for the weekend, but not this time, that’s why we want to bring this back now.” Lao’ri said.

He warned the youths to work with what they have learned and become ambassadors to ensure peace and understanding in the areas they come from.

Also speaking the director defence and security students, Institute for peace and conflict resolution, Abuja Dr Gerald Okafo, who led the training for the youths, praised Hon Kwamoti for the work of organizing the workshop, he said “training on peace for the youths is important thing at the moment.

He continued that “an important review like this is needed for the youth, but it is also being forgotten, and research shows that the youth are being used to create conflict and violence and the youths are affected by the problem.

“We are confident that in the near future there will be young people who will ensure peace, because we have gained understanding with the young people who have received training on peace and mutual understanding in our country, which we hope to see in this way,” he said.

Also, those who spoke at the ceremony said that the training for three days, on the strategy of peace will bring change and influence in the minds of the youth which will make them good people who will contribute to the development of their community.

This is not the first time, if you remember that Hon Kwamoti Lao’ri recently took responsibility for providing training on peace and understanding to 150 women, and supported them with 100 thousand naira each, this time he also gave 100 thousand support for every young person who attended the workshop.
