Adamawa state Deputy Governor Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta has appealed to Road Safety Officers Wives Association (ROSOWA) to be in the vanguard of ensuring an accident-free state.
Farauta while receiving the members in her office, said they should always be supportive to their husbands in their quest to secure major roads to reduce road crashes
“You need to be there for your husbands in the struggle to reduce road mishaps,” she said.
Earlier, Mrs Farti Theman, Acting Chairperson RS3.1 congratulated the deputy governor for being the first to occupy the position in the North East
Theman said the association is concerned about the safety of school children who trek to schools or being conveyed by busses.
She urged government to install speed limit in public schools as well as major roads.
The ROSOWA equally solicited for procurement of road safety books to schools as well as sponsoring of radio and television programs on road safety.
