The Senator Representing Adamawa Central Senatorial District, Aminu Iya Abbas of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) says he is working towards facilitating cash grant to 5000 market women and men across the 7 LGAs of the senatorial district.
The Senator disclosed this in Yola during a meeting with his local government coordinators and 2023 Senatorial Campaign Council headed by Alhaji Usman Muhammad Kaura.
The meeting which engaged a fruitful discussion is also to reflect on his representation in the last 14 months as the senator representing Adamawa central and chart a away forward as part of efforts to meet the yearnings of the electorate.
Senator Abbas who is the Chairman Senate Committee on Innovation, Science and Technology said he will soon embark on inspection visit to various infrastructural projects completed and ongoing he facilitated in the Senatorial zone and meet with his people.
Aminu Iya Abbas added that, there is need meet with the campaign council to highlight the successes recorded so far, that necessitated the idea of the enlarged meeting to bring everybody on board.
The lawmaker who is among the most outstanding Senators in the National Assembly, also saluted Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his giant strides and called for unity and cohesion among the political class in the State to ensure progress and peaceful development of the state.
He pledged that he will strive to work towards bringing more people oriented projects and will welcome ideas that will assist him in improving the quality of life of his constituents
While thanking the 2023 campaign structure at all levels for giving him their support, Abbas promised to continually strive to attract dividends of democracy through robust and effective representation, adding that, he will continue to support government efforts aimed at guaranteeing peace, security and welfare of all Adamawa people.
Speaking earlier the Director General Aminu Iya Abbas 2023 Campaign Council Alhaji Usman Muhammad Kaura said Senator Aminu’s kind of representation was rare to find, hence should be encouraged and supported politically for good things to continue in Adamawa Central and beyond.
In their seperate contributions during the meeting, some members of the steering committee said that, the senator has broken the jinx and has become a shining example to the people of Adamawa Central and the state in general.
They have also thumbed up the lawmaker for his quality representation which they described as one the best and prayed God to bless and strengthen him.
