The senator representing Adamawa central senatorial district, Aminu Iya Abbas has congratulated two illustrious sons of Adamawa State: Sahabo Abubakar Yahaya of the Department of Finance and Administration and Bzigu Yakubu Dali of the Department of Operations, on their recent promotion to the rank of Deputy Inspector General of the Nigeria Police, DIG.
DIG Sahabo Abubakar Yahaya hails from Hong LGA, while DIG Bzigu Yakubu Dali hails from Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
Iya Abbas who doubles as Chairman senate committee on Innovation, Science and Technology, in a congratulatory message through his Yola media office Sunday, described their promotion as timely and well deserved considering their wealth of experience in the Nigeria Police.
He said both Adamawa sons are officers of impeccable character, expressing optimism that they would bring professionalism and true leadership to bear while piloting the affairs of the two very sensitive offices in the Nigeria Police.
Iya Abbas while praying to God to give them courage and wisdom in the discharge of their new assignments, also urged them to harness their experiences from their previous offices to curb crime, ensure peace in the entire country and propound the policing principles that will lead Nigerians to believe that police is their friend.
