Sen Iya Abbas Commiserates with Hong People Over Kopre Attack

Senator representing Adamawa central senatorial district, Aminu Iya Abbas has commiserated with the people of the constituency on the death of Hunters and Civilian JTF killed in kopre village of Hong local government area recently. 

In a statement issued on Tuesday through his media office in Yola, the senator condoled with the families of the deceased, adding that he is deeply pained by the circumstances leading to the attack and killing of the Hunters and Civilian JTF who were assisting the security in protecting lives and properties of the people. 

According to the statement, the gallantry of those who lost their lives while protecting the lives and properties of the people was appreciated, adding that, they paid the supreme price for peace to reign in the area. 

The senator who is currently attending an international assignment said, he will work with the state government to present the issue to relevant security agencies and the Office of the National Security Adviser to provide lasting solution on the repeated attacks on innocent citizens especially in some parts of his constituency.

He also urged the people of the area to support the security agencies for peace to prevail in Hong local government area, Adamawa central senatorial and the state at large. 

While describing the incident as unfortunate, Aminu prayed to God to give the families of the deceased the strength to bear the great loss.
