Another youth of the All Progressives Congress (APC) formally entered the governorship race in Adamawa State on Monday canvassing exclusive support for young aspirants.
The aspirant, Engr Diaulhaq Abubakar, made his formal declaration at the APC state secretariat in Yola under the hashtag #AbamuAhuta, a contraption in Hausa translating roughly to ‘Give us and have a Rest’ in reference fo older politicians.
Abubakar said he has the motivation to galvanise state resources to make skills development available for youth employment and economic empowerment.
He said his focus if he becomes the Adamawa State governor would be to raise internal revenue generation so that there would be enough financial resources to improve the economic life of youths and other segments of society.
The APC chairman in Adamawa State, Barr Sbuaibu Idris, responding to Abubakar’s declaration for governorship under the party, said he and other aspirants are welcome.
“Engr Diaulhaq Abubakar is a young and industrious personality who has done much philanthropic work in his private life,” Idris said, adding that Abubakar is a worthy entrant into the governorship race.
