Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has expressed deep regret over the death of Engr. Umar Abdulrahman Bobboi, a retired Permanent Secretary with the Adamawa State Government.

The governor, represented by his Deputy Professor Kaletapha led top cabinet members on condolences at the 80 units houses estate , residence of the deceased.

Farauta said government and people of Adamawa were grievously touched by the death of the former Permanent Secretary

She described the death as great loss to the entire state and that his demise has robbed the public service of a humble, but patriotic and dedicated man

She prayed to Allah to grant the deceased eternal rest in peace and strength and comfort to the family to bear the loss.

Responding on behalf of the family, Alhaji Iya Bobboi, the elder brother to the deceased thanked the delegation for identifying with them during moment of grief.

Bobboi thanked government of Adamawa for giving one of their own opportunity to serve the state and rose through the ranks

Late Engineer Abdulrahman Umar Bobboi was Executive Secretary of the Adamawa state Muslim Welfare Board

The deceased died after a brief illness at the age of 62 and left behind three wives, 18 children and grand children to mourn him.

The deceased died 16/08/2025 and was buried according to the Islamic rites.
