Ganye Assembly Bye-Election: Conduct Peaceful As Voting Begins On Time
Residents of Ganye and it environs have hailed the peaceful conduct of the assembly bye-election currently on going in the local government saturday.
Samseri Jatau and Kwalashin Abubakar in the separates remarks said the Adamawa assembly re-run elections has started peacefully in Ganye local government with early arrival of election materials as registrations and voting started simultaneously at different polling units visited.
Sensitive and non sensitive materials were seen at various polling units visited as officials from Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) were seen accrediting voters at polling units without lamentations.
There was large turnout of voters at Gangwari palace, Sanga-sumi, Kangaraso, Anguwan leko among other polling units
The election is to fill the vacuum created by the death of former assembly member, Abdulmalik Jauro Musa
The deceased is the member representing Ganye state constituency from the All Progressives Congress,( APC), and the deputy minority whip in the assembly.
Party chieftains from all the political parties that participated in the elections claims victory at the end of the polls.
Meanwhile, restriction of movement by people were partially complied as traders display their wares for sales at the popular yam market, while election is ongoing.
