An All Progressives Congress (APC) Stakeholder and Hon. Muhammad Mutawalli has urged Muslim Ummah in the state to reflect on the significance of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration which is sacrifice.
Hon. Mutawalli who is the former minority leader of the 7th Assembly and member representing Girei Constituency from (2015-2019) and (2019-2023)at the State legislature made the call in a statement through his media office in Yola Sunday to mark the 1445 (2024) Eid-el-Kabir.
The former minority leader who emphasized the significance of the day to the Muslim Ummah stressed the need for all well to do Muslim to use the period and reflect on its benefits through sacrifice for the peace, unity and progress of Adamawa and service to humanity.
While urging the people to embrace peace and unity, irrespective of their differences, as the best instrument for development.
Mutawalli also felicitated with the Executive Governor of Adamawa State Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Finitiri, the Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley and other Hon. Members of the 8th Assembly, His Royal Highness the Lamido Adamawa Dr. Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha and other members of Adamawa Council of Emirs and Chiefs, APC leadership at all levels, and other critical stakeholders on the occasion of Eid El Kabir
He also called on the people of the state and the country at large to continue to live in peace and tolerate one another irrespective of religion, politics and other affiliations and work towards moving the country forward.
Hon. Mutawalli, further preached love and support for one another especially the need for wealthy individuals to support the less privileged ones among them for peace and development to thrive.
