BREAKING: Adamawa Northern Youth Forum (ANYF) Officially Endorses Senator Aminu Iya Abbas for Governor 2027

​The political landscape of Adamawa State witnessed a significant shift today as the Adamawa Northern Youth Forum (ANYF) Unders the Umbrella of the People of Adamawa North gathered in Mubi, to formally endorse Senator Aminu Iya Abbas for the 2027 governorship race under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

​The endorsement speech, delivered by Faisal Babagari Duhu, marked a unified call to action from youth representatives across Michika, Madagali, Mubi North, Mubi South, and Maiha LGAs.

The Forum praised the “Fresh Air” governance of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, while emphasizing the need for a successor who can sustain and amplify current developmental milestone.

ANYF acknowledged the economic reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that falling inflation and ward-level development programs are creating a stable foundation for the state’s future.S

Senator Abbas was hailed for his “distinguished track record,” citing his successful tenure as Speaker of the 7th Adamawa State House of Assembly and his current impact in the Red Chamber as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Innovation, Science, and Technology. 

With his background as a forensic accountant and EFCC-trained expert, the Forum highlighted Abbas as the ideal candidate to manage state revenues with transparency and precision.

​In his address, Faisal Babagari Duhu described Senator Abbas as a “bridge-builder” whose legislative brilliance and advocacy for permanent solutions—such as the dredging of River Benue and completion of the Dasin Hausa Dam—set him apart as a leader who understands the “grassroots heart” of Adamawa.​

​Various Youth and women group representatives at the event including; Hassan Hassan Mazaa, Mukhtar Bello, Simon Zira, Aisha Musa, Sani Ibrahim Mubi among other speakers reaffirmed their support to the AIA with a “clarion call” to the Senator to heed the voices of the Northern Senatorial Zone, declaring that the youth are no longer mere mobilizers but active stakeholders ready to organize for an APC victory that prioritizes competence and inclusive growth.
