The Organizing Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, Mustapha Ribadu, has made cash donations to 400 youths and women at his birth place, Ribadu, to mark his 46th birthday.
Each of the beneficiary, received a handout of N10,000; seen as a huge intervention in communities where most people rarely see such sum.
Chairman of APC Ribadu Ward, Maji Dadi Funange Babaji Sallau, who described the gesture as uncommon, praised Mustapha Ribadu as a unifying force and a true son of the soil.
Sallau said, “Over the years you have shown undiluted love for your kindreds. We will defend you with all our strength because you have shown leadership and compassion.”
On his part, the Chairman of APC Fufore Local Government Area, Hon. James Beka, extolled the developmental strides recorded in Ribadu under the influence of National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.
Beka listed key projects, including rehabilitation of long-neglected Ribadu road, establishment of an ICT centre, and construction of industrial boreholes as some of the dividends the area has witnessed recently.
Also speaking, the Assistant Secretary of APC in Adamawa State, Dahiru Mahmud, described Ribadu town as a land of torch bearers that continues to produce visionary leaders, saying, “From Mahmud Ribadu to Nuhu Ribadu, and now Mustapha Atiku Ribadu, this community has produced vibrant and respected leaders who continue to inspire hope and command respect.”
In his response, Mustapha Ribadu who appreciated the massive turnout for the event, said what the APC has done so far is just a tip of the iceberg.
He stressed that
Ribadu and all adjoining towns and villages will continue to reap the dividends of democracy, as NSA Nuhu Ribadu has made commitment to that effect.
