Bill for Amana State Passes 1st Reading in House of Representatives

A bill for the creation of Amana state has passed 1st reading at the floor of the National Assembly.

The bill is sponsored by Hon Ja’afar Abubakar Magaji, member representating Mubi-North, Mubi-South and Maiha federal constituency at the House of Representative.

The House of Representatives at the plenary on June, 10 introduced and passed through first reading a Bill which seeks to create ‘Amana State’ out of the present Adamawa state with Headquarters in Mubi

The bill which is number 13 ,”Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (alteration) Bill 2024 (HB1475) (Hon Ja’afar Abubakar Magaji and two others)- First Reading

The lawmaker in an interview with newsmen, shortly after the presentation pointed out that, Mubi deserves to be a state on its own ‘Amana State’ due to the it’s human population and abandoned resources, which qualified it to be commercial hub of the North-Eastern region.

Other reason the lawmaker advanced at the plenary for his quest was to bring more development as well as leveraging behind a good legacy for his people.

Magaji promised his constituents more dividend of democracy, while urging them to key into the struggle to ensure ‘Amana State’.##
