Army Rewards Gov Fintiri’s Tackling of Insecurity

The Nigerian Army has bestowed an award of excellence on Governor Ahmadu Fintiri for his outstanding performance and contribution in tackling insecurity

Receiving the award at the closing ceremony of 2024 Division’s Inter Brigade Combat Proficiency Competition at Gibson Jalo Cantonment,
Fintiri said his administration had maintained deep and cordial relationship with the military and other security agencies to rid pockets of terrorists still operating in some LGAs

“To this end, I have resolve to continue to support the military and other security outfits in sustaining the relative peace,” the governor said .

He said government has enhanced allowances of the joint OPERATION FARAUTA personnel by establishing a temporary anti kidnapping force in the state

“Government and good people of Adamawa state are indeed greatful to the military for their immense contribution to achieving peace in the state,” the governor said.

Soldiers from 6 Brigade Jalingo, 23 Armoured Brigade Yola, 33 Artillery Brigade Bauchi, 53 Signals Brigade Jos and 3 Division Garrison Jos participated in the competition aims to enhance physical fitness and morale of soldiers.

Represented by his deputy professor Kaletapwa Farauta, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri who was the special guest of honor at the competition stated that he will never compromise the safety, security and well being of the state and its citizens.

who was represented by Brigadier General Adiu Aminu urged the soldiers to to continue to imbibe cherished sports tradition in the subsequent operation and related tasks ahead.

Aminu congratulated winners of the various trophies at the competition.
