Adamawa state Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta has tasked education development partners to work in agreement with state government policies and programs of moving the state forward.
Farauta spoke at Government House Yola, at validation of education policy document, ahead of planned demarcation of national policy of education in the state.
She asserted that the synergy would ensure government and partners speak with one voice for dissimilation of accurate data and figure for strategic planning in the state.
She stated government considered institutionalization of policies as deliberate move for sustainability of it’s programs, especially in the education sector.
“When all of us work in synergy, we would have a roadmap of achieving goals of educating Adamawa citizens.
“Partners coming to Adamawa state, should have desire for what is contained in government policies and programs”she urged.
In his remarks, Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr Umar Garba-Pella said the state need to demesticate national policy on education to fit into the state peculiarity as government, people and as a state.
“We need to have a document on education, that truly look Adamawa documents.
“We want see, whenever a partner comes to the state,we give him our policy document to align with what we have in the state.
Mr Abdulrahaman Ardo, UNICEF representative Field Office Bauchi, said the policy is expected to improve education system and reduce out of school of children in the state
“UNICEF is going to support the state through building capacities of its teachers through training,” he said.
