The Adamawa state government has spoken of new strategy to curb the increasing menace of Shila young gangsters in the state.
Addressing journalists in her office Tuesday over the menace, the state Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta said government had adopted radical approach to bring down the activities of Shila Boys.
Farauta said the new offensive against the gangsters would ensure people of the state sleep with their eyes close and move freely without intimidation at all times.
The punitive measure which was not disclosed for security reason would be implemented by all the security agencies in the state.
She said government decided to involve the media for more advocacy on the new move.
The deputy governor urged parents to play their part in efforts to remould the young people of the state.
“We urge parents to take care that our children get to be in the right places doing the right things.
“Parent should monitor their children and ensure they live up to the right expectations,” she said.
