Adamawa State Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta has commended Governor Ahmadu Fintiri for awarding contracts for upgrading of Numan General Hospital and water treatment plant in Numan.
Addressing journalists during assessment of the two facilities in Numan Thursday, Farauta expressed satisfaction with the level of completion.
She advised the benefiting communities to mobilize and protect the facilities to stand the test of time.
“The facilities belong to us. We should ensure they are protected to serve us better,” the deputy governor told the people.
Thanking Governor Fintiri for the peojects, she said, “I want to express my gratitude to the executive governor of Adamawa State for giving us this project. We are greatful, because Numan has been without water for several years.”
Mr Audu Ayuba Tanko, Commissioner for Water Resources, also praised Governor Fintiri.
The commissioner said the governor had been generous in making funds available for the project, which was carried out by the Ministry of Water Resources.
