The Read-to-Rise Youth program initiated by the Global Shapers Community Yola Hub, has been endorsed by the Adamawa State Government for the development of the state
Adamawa Deputy Governor, Professor, Kaletapha Farauta made the disclosure when members of the group visited her on Tuesday.
Farauta enumerated that the government would leave good legacy for the younger ones to build on.
‘The development in Adamawa is just tip of the iceberg, and development of all kinds would have government support and endorsement.
“If you want to have a better tomorrow, educate everyone of us. I assure you, education should be pursued formally and informally at all levels,” she said.
She congratulated the global Shepherd community on their achievements and endorsed them as partners in an effort towards building a better and productive society.
Leader of the delegation Sarah Edgar revealed that the project is an initiative of the world economic forum.
Sarah said the project focuses on empowering Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camps through formal and informal education.
The group’s visit was initially to celebrate the International Youth Day with a visionary leader that believes in young people to emulate.
The group commended the developmental strides of the present administration, where they presented a plague for recognition to the deputy governor.
