Adamawa state Deputy Governor Professor Kaletapwa Farauta has on behalf of the state government received the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church Of God in Nigeria RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye to the state
Adeboye is in the state for a two-day crusade program, ‘Light up Adamawa’.
Mahmud Ribadu Square, venue of the event was filled to the brim Friday evening with Christian faithful across different denominations for different sessions of the program.
The cleric took time and prayed for every form of confusion, emptiness and everything associated with forces of darkness to end, as many received deliverance and healing from different ailments.
In her keynote address, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta had earlier thanked God for his grace, mercy, favour, wisdom and protection upon his people.
She appreciated the general overseer for the wisdom and grace to host such a life changing crusade in the state and the positive impact he has been making on the people.
Farauta urged prayers for peace and unity and to end the economic meltdown as well as improve security of the people.
Bishop David Bakare who took scriptural reading from Philippians 2:9-10 in a message, told the faithful that there is no other name above that of Jesus Christ.
Bakare added that prostitutes and armed robbers have repented due to blessings associated with the name.
He advised Christians to call upon His name and the yoke of all forms of affliction they have been passing through will be broken.
The clergyman said as the salt and light of the world, they should let their light shine, for darkness will never prevail over light.
He commanded the yoke of confusion and affliction of any kind, disunity, underdevelopment, insecurity and economic woes facing the nation to be broken, even as he prayed the light of God to manifest in the lives of His people, Adamawa and Nigeria in general.
The state House of Assembly Speaker, Rt Hon Bathiya Wesley, commissioners and other top government functionaries attended the crusade.
