Adamawa Dep Gov Warns Youths Against Drug Abuse

Adamawa State Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta
has cautioned youths against drug abuse to avoid attendent negative effects of psychological damage to users and society.

Farauta stated the assertion while addressing Kodomti community from Numan local government area on a thank you visit over the creation of Kodomti District.

Farauta stated that many persons had lost their destinies and purposes to illicit drug use, adding that drug addiction had never favoured anyone.

” The youths should strive to seek other meaningful and profitable enterprises like farming, trade and ensure they go to schools.

“Traditional rulers and parent should closely monitor school enrollment in their respective domains.

“Communities should unite to wage war against drug abuse for them to reap the benefit of their district.

The deputy governor also cautioned against reckless sells of farm produce.

Earlier, Acting District Head of Kodomti, Gregory Simon, stressed that the visit is aimed at thanking Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for the recent elevation of Kodomti ward to a district.

Simon said the elevation comes as a dream, praying well for the government of Adamawa led by whom he described as a visionary Leadership in the state.

He said the elevation is a landmark achievement which would not have been possible without the spirit of unity demonstrated by the people of the area, and pledged more support for the present administration.##
