Adamawa state Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta has declared open induction training programme for 33 permanent secretaries, recently elevated in a bid to improve their performance.
Addressing the permanent secretaries in Yola Thursday, Farauta asked them to shun favouritism and treat all manner of people equally during discharge of their duties.
She said the training is meant to enrich their skills, urging them to improve their attitude towards work.
The governor advised the permanent secretaries to be open to learning to enable them improve their skills, for no one has the monopoly of knowledge.
Earlier, the Head of Service pharmacist Shehu Isa Ardo said as the backbone of state’s bureaucracy, responsible for driving policy implemention for effective governance and service delivery, their expertise and commitment is expected to shape the future of the state.
The training according to him is broden their horizons and best practices to enable them overcome challenges in the state civil service.
Among those inducted are Ladi Baba Hamza, Emmanuel Iliya Tapasha, Mohammed Tukur, Hassan Maude Modibo, Syndana Dada, Mercy Ornan Dauda and Mohammed Awwal Ibrahim and Mrs Melody Pwambodi Herman among others
