Adamawa state Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta has inspected facilities at College of Administration and Business Studies ( CABS) Numan, neglected by past administrations.
Farauta told journalists that the assessment is a routine supervisory role by government delegation to see for themselves the situation of the college as government places education in the front banner.
“The tour is to see for ourselves the nature of the school and see what government can do over it.
“Also the routine visit is a supervisory role by government
as the facilities were used in the past as Women Teachers College
The Deputy Governor directed the Rector of the college to forward to her office a comprehensive reports for government consideration and advised students and lecturers not to stay around structures identified as risk.
“We were on same mission at College for Agriculture Ganye with a view for possible intervention,” she said.
The Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr Umar Garba Pella assured that govenment would do everything necessary to revive the the college’s glory when it was a haven of technocrats from the North- East region.
The Rector Muhammed Dahiru Toungos expressed hope that with the intervention of government, Numan campus of the institution will soon regain its greatness
