Adamawa Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta has commissioned Adamawa State University Guest House Annex in Mubi.

The inauguration of the building is part of the activities line up for the 15 16 and 17 convocation of the university slated for Saturday

Farauta who inaugurated the building along with the Emir of Pindiga and Chancellor of the university, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Muhammad Seyoji Ahmad, described the guest as great relief to the guests and lecturers on sabbatical to the institution.

She added that the guest house would go along way in alleviating the shortage of accommodation for guests

The deputy governor, thanked her principal Governor Ahmadu Fintiri for according education the desired need and making funds available to the institution.

Farauta who was a former Vice Chancellor of the institution assured of judicious use of
whatever funds made available to the institution.

Earlier, the VC , Professor Augustine Clement said
42 students have graduated with first-class degrees in various courses of the institution

Clement said 1,734 graduands would be conferred with second class upper, and 1,842 third class upper out of 9,225 candidates cut across undergraduate, diploma, and postgraduate programmes

The VC further revealed that the institution which have over 15,000 students, 64 Professor has constituted committee on sexual harassment and dress code, where students can report cases of abuse in the university.

He added that the institution has equally introduced Cyber security, information systems, history education, English education, public relations, journalism and media studies and education management.

The school has upgraded its entrepreneurship studies unit to a full fledged department and academic programme, following the approval by the NUC, established a carrier development centre, and quality assurance unit.
