Adamawa State Deputy Governor Professor, Kaletapwa George Farauta has praised the Nigerian military for their sacrifice in defending the nation’s territorial integrity.
Speaking at this year’s Armed Forces Remembrance Day event at held Mahmud Ribadu Square in Yola Thursday, Farauta lauded the military and other security agencies whom she said people look upto to ensure peace for their gallantry service to the nation.
“Today, we honour and lauds the military, security agencies and fallen heroes for their
sacrifice to ensure we sleep with our eyes closed.
“We urge them to keep the good work of
protecting citizens and our borders, is not something, we can pay them humanly.
” We pray God to forgive our fallen heroes and fill the vacuum created by their demise.
“We prayed God to keep widows and orphans of fallen heroes for carrying the burden of the death their loved ones.
The the deputy governor prayed for the repose of the souls of departed heroes across other security agencies as she led
wreath-laying followed by the speaker, state chief Judge, service commanders in honour of the fallen heroes.
