Adamawa Deputy Governor Professor Kaletapwa Farauta has asked World Bank to support the state in area of Youths and women training for job creation
Farauta spoke while appreciating the impact of development partners, reiterating government’s commitment towards providing more support and enabling environment for more execution of community development projects.
She made the commitment while addressing officials from the multi sectoral crisis recovery project in her office Tuesday.
The multi sectoral crisis recovery project is a world Bank assisted project aimed at supporting government of Nigeria towards rehabilitating and improving critical service delivery infrastructure, enhance livelihood opportunities of the conflict and displacement affected communities as well as strengthen social cohesion especially in the north east benefitting states.
Addressing the officials led by Dr. Fuad Malkawi the deputy governor reassured that government will continue to provide enabling environment for the development partners to able them implement their projects which are in tandem with government’s policies.
Leader of the delegation Dr. Fuad Malkawi had earlier said MCRP primary mandate is to build resilience, reconstruct and rehabilitate the insurgency affected communities in Adamawa with focus on internally displaced persons and the host communities.
Part of their efforts according to him is by coming up with long term solutions through the provision of facilities that are missing in such areas, which encompass socio economic opportunities, ICT, education, Agriculture, Youth and women empowerment.
