Adamawa Approves Variation For Exploration of 5 Mineral Deposits

The Adamawa state government has approved the variation for the award of contract to Energy and Mineral Resources limited (EMR )
to investigate and produce feasibility reports on Lithium, copper borates, lit, zinc and gold mineral deposits in the state.

Commissioner for Information
and Strategy, Mr James Iliya made the disclosure shortly after the State Executive Council meeting, presided over by the Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta.

Iliya said the contract which has 12 weeks completion period is to enable government woo investors to the state in the area of mineral exploration and development.

He also explained that the council has engaged consultancy services to achieve the disbursement link indicator one of the cyber programs in Adamawa.

He added, “The state government has received prior results disbursement of $1million dollar of the cyber program in the state

“After engaging the consultancy services, the state is expected at the end to receive $26 million dollars for the state”.

Also approved by the SEC is procurement of one 36-seater Toyota coaster bus 2024 model for Adamawa United Football Club and a Toyota Hilux 2023 model to the Ministry of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, Reintegration and Humanitarian Services
