Adamawa State Deputy Governor Professor Kaletapwa has led the State Executive Council (SEC) in clearing drains and refuse dumps in the state.
Speaking for the governor during the event, Farauta said the SEC was directed to participate in the exercise in ensuring a cleaner city and secure environment.
Farauta reiterated government’s role in ensuring refuse is evacuated regularly.
She appealed for more persons to participate in the environmental sanitation to support the drive for a cleaner state, through enlightenment programmes on the importance of cleaning their environments.
Mr Mohammad Sadiq Mohammad, Commissioner of Environment said all machineries have been put in place to achieve the desired goal, thereby ensuring that the cleanliness has been sustained.
The state government is partnering the state environmental protection agency and Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes to ensure the enforcement of the sanitation.
