Mammoth crowds gathered at Mahmud Ribadu Square Yola Wednesday through Friday as Evangelist Rob Welch, the President of His Glory Evangelical Ministry, United States of America stormed the capital city of Yola for a mega festival crusade.
The crusade is scheduled to continue to Sunday, November 3.
The crowds since the beginning on Wednesday have been people from within and outside the country worshiping and praising God for what He has done in their lives.
Rob Welch, at the opening of the festival and miracle crusade stressed the need for propagating the gospel of salvation to all nations.
He took his text from Mark 2:1, tracing the story of the man born with palsy in the Bible, where the sick was taken to see Jesus and they couldn’t because of the crowed, but uncovered the roof where Jesus was and let him down right before him.
The preacher further explained that when Jesus saw the faith of the sick man he said unto him, “Son, your sins are forgiven, rise, take your bed and walk,” noting that all sinners are helpless and need Jesus to save them from the power of sin.
Evengelist Rob Welch added that for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son to die for the salvation of mankind, stressing that faith comes by hearing the word of God, and admonished the congregation to serve Him in truth and in spirit.
It was revealed that the ministry in collaboration with Adamawa state chapter of Christian Association of Nigeria CAN engaged youths and women on disciple training for the program.
Speaking in an interview, Evangelist Welch said the great commission to make disciples of all nations was the reason for them to focus on multiplying disciples from one nation to the other to come to know God and His salvation.
The national vice President of CAN Revered Stephen Babapanya described the disciple training for trainers as fulfilling the great commission of Jesus Christ which he said will go a long way in advancement of the Church and the gospel.
Reverend Papa Jalo one of the participants at the training explained that the discipleship making is the fastest way for the gospel of salvation to reach the unreached, appreciating His glory ministry.
Various topics were discussed by different speakers at the training.
