Farauta Inaugurates 13-Member Adamawa Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board

Adamawa state Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta has inaugurated the state’s 13-Member Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board.

Farauta warned the new officials from corruption and denominationalism in the course of their work

She reminded them that their selection to serve the board is based on individual commitment to duty and evidence of fear of God.

According to her, government gives premium to Muslim and Christian Welfare Board to Carter for the physical and spiritual need of the people.

“We must help out people to satiate their spiritual hunger through the conduct of seamless religious pilgrimage.

“You must eschew corruption, nepotism and
denominationalism.

‘You must consider your work for what it truly is: service to God and humanity”.

She noted that government has released the requisite funds for the conduct of this year’s Christian Pilgrimage and preparations has almost been completed for the airlift of pilgrims.

Responding the new chairman of the board Rev.Theophilus Shadrach, promised to uphold the values of the board with integrity to enhance the welfare of christian.

Shadrach said they have accepted the offer with deep gratitude and honor for the state.
